The day started out at Emily’s parents home in Bayview (a rather handy 5 minute drive from my place!!) for the all of the girls preparations.

The ceremony was held at Ellery’s Punt Reserve just beside the Spit Bridge in Seaforth. The bridge actually went up a few minutes into the ceremony & neither Scott or Emily even noticed.

Notice the adorable hint of baby bump. They are going to be the best parents!

After the ceremony we headed across to Shelly Beach for some portraits in the heavenly light.

The reception was held at the Bayview Golf Club & was so much fun!

I recently started offering photobooths for the recption & Emily & Scott were the first takers. Everyone had a great time :) 

Scott & Emily, I hope you both had the best day ever & I can’t wait to meet your little bub!!

Anyway, on to Jasmine & Ivan! They are so happy and so obviously in love it radiates through them.    

I can’t wait for their August wedding!

Scott & Emily are so relaxed and in tune with each other. It’s beautiful to watch! For me it’s all about the hands - they’re almost always intertwined :)  

The day started perfectly. The sun was shining, the hotel was buzzing with activity with everyone putting together the final touches. Emma making the bouquets, her bridesmaids making the boutonnieres and flowers for their hair. Everyone was relaxed and everything was coming together.

Little did we know what the next few hours would bring. On the way to the church, Emma’s mother became ill & had to be taken by helicopter to a hospital a few hours away, missing the entire wedding. Ultimately they decided to get married as planned (if a little late) and the rest of the day was as joyous and beautiful as any other wedding. There may have been a few extra tear stained cheeks, and the congratulatory hugs a little tighter, but you’d never tell looking at the photos.

It really brought the whole stresses of weddings into perspective for me. As long as your family and friends are safe and healthy, and you get to marry the person you love, the rest is a bonus!

The ceremony was held in the teeny tiny Glen Alice Church about 10 minutes away.

Emma & Ross planned on something a little extra for the first kiss, with a big dip! In the last few days before the wedding they kept saying, “we must remember to tell Kellee about the kiss” but forgot to mention it beforehand. In a moment of pure serendipity, I was positioned perfectly and he held her in the perfect patch of light from the window :)

The sun set as we were driving back to the hotel and we managed to squeeze all the family/bridal party & couple portraits in about 20 minutes of twilight.

The canyon backdrop was simply stunning!

After the bridal waltz the party kicked off with the band (including the father of the bride!) kitted in sunglasses and hats performing the Blues Brothers soundtrack!

Charlie & Digby taught me this very important lesson when I was in Alice Springs a month ago – Head down, bum up & there’ll be a reward when you eventually surface :)

I spent the early afternoon with the girls at Lizzie’s parents house for all the getting ready. I loved looking at all the family photos :)

Lizzie’s dress & shoes were by Collette Dinnigan. Simply elegant and absolutely stunning!

I can’t help myself at all around babies! How adorable are her twin nieces :)

It was so sweet watching Eric in the lead up to the ceremony. The deep breath when the bridesmaids walked down the aisle…

…to trying to catch a glipmse around the corner…then the eyes full of tears as she appeared.

Needless to say he was pretty pumped to officially get the girl :)

From the ceremony we made our way along the boardward at Lavender Bay towards Luna Park

The great thing about a wedding at Luna Park, is getting to bypass the queues and do a few loops on the ferris wheel. We had the most perfect sunset for it!

The reception was held in the Crystal Ballroom of the Crystal Palace.

Eric’s family is Armenian & it was incredible to be in and amongst the traditional dancing. EVERYONE was on their feet!

Nothing beats a good air guitar on the dancefloor!

Possibly the worlds best backdrop for a wedding exit!

Congratulations again Lizzie & Eric, it was an absolute pleasure to be a part of your day!
