Now, just over 2 years later, the belly is full again with another one! I can’t wait for the addition of a niece or another nephew and am super excited to be flying up to Alice 2 weeks after her due date to meet and photograph the brand new bub.

So here’s Shelly again, with one on the inside, and the two gorgeous little fellas on the outside!  

It’s so cute watching Charlie play with her belly. Blowing rhasberries, reaching up to touch it, & using it as a rather convenient seat :)

Digby has recently taken to referring to himself as Bibby (Shell reckons its Bigby, but I can’t hear the g). Anyway, it’s completely adorable!

The still shot doesn’t really do it justice, but Charlie has a new move, dubbed the Old Man Dance. Really slowly walking, wobbling side to side, flailing his arms about. Very very funny!

I am just bursting with excitement to meet the little one, and watch the boys become big brothers.

First thing Boxing day morning I flew up to Uluru (Ayers Rock) for 4 amazingly wonderful days. I was there of course to shoot an elopement but I stayed an extra couple of days just for me.

It was my third, and hopefully not last trip to the Rock, and it still took my breath away just the same as it did the first time 9 years ago.

It was like a 4 day photo safari. 2 sunrises, 2 sunsets, and a whole lot of walking in between.

Here’s a taste of what I saw, and I can only hope it encourages more people to visit this truly incredible place!

First off, Kata Tjuta (The Olgas)

There was so much more greenery this time, the desert was alive with trees, flowers, lizards and lots of bugs :)

It honestly was just as perfect as I had been imagining.

I arrived at the lookout about an hour before the sunrise with a blanket of stars covering the sky.

Quite possibly the most breathtaking aisle I’ve ever seen

The ceremony was incredibly emotional, their vows were so heartfelt and beautiful.

The sun broke just moments after they signed the marriage certificate.

The morning light was so incredible. I think I’ll be doing many more sunrise shoots from now on.

The whole morning was so relaxed and they were just so happy!

The whole elopement came about after they planned a 2 week road trip and decided to get married while they were away. So this red dirt road sums up the whole trip.

It started with a bang!

The Boy & I headed overseas again for 8 magical nights in Thailand – fishing, snorkelling & kayaking!

If you’ve followed this blog for a while, these little fella’s need no introduction – I caught up with my sister & twin nephews a bunch of times, including their first ever trip to the beach.

Another wedding with Caspix in July, this time up in the Hunter Valley

Wedding season kicked off again in September with Jacqui & Stuart

Followed by a trip or two to Canberra, visiting Floriade for the first time.

Sarah & Scott’s wedding in October was a glorious day!

I met a bunch of bubs with big brown eyes

Another trip to Canberra to shoot this lovely wedding with Beata English.

Carly & Michael’s engagement session at Freshwater was simply perfect, and I can’t wait for their March 2012 wedding here on the Northern Beaches!

Finally, the year wrapped up with a Destination Elopement at Ayers Rock! I really hope it was the first of many.

As the sun sets for the last time in 2011, I sometimes can’t believe I get to be so lucky to do this for a living.
