Friday Flashback #10

Towards the end of my 3 month round the world adventure in 2007, I spent a week in India.

Here’s one from the Agra Fort. We were up before dawn to be first in line when it opened for the day. The way the morning sun streamed through all the little windows was amazing. The intricacies of the carvings are incredible.

Most of all, I love the mysteriousness the slight haze has on it all.

Friday Flashback #9

Here’s a shot from my very first trip to Brisbane a few years ago, the floral arch in Southbank. I flew up to go to a concert with my sister & we spent one day just wandering the streets and seeing Brisbane in a way that most people don’t. I’ve always loved this one & I can’t believe I haven’t shared it before!

For me, it’s all about the lines.

Friday Flashback #8

It’s been a long long time since I’ve done a Friday Flashback, but lately I’ve been dreaming of a snowy winter adventure. It’s almost 2 years since this day on the top of Mount Hutt in New Zealand, but I can still feel it.

I love the way the mountains seem to go on forever and ever in the distance without any evidence of human touch. There’s still so much to be seen and explored, and this is only the beginning.

Friday Flashback #7

Having travelled a lot over the years, I’m often asked what my favourite country. 100% hands down without a doubt, the answer is Nepal. I could write an essay on why, but that still wouldn’t even begin to do it justice. Maybe this can give a glimmer…

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about going back there and trekking all the way to base camp. One day…

Gemma Carr - woah – mother nature sure does get it right sometimes hey?
