About Me

Hi there! My name is Kellee and I just love taking photos. Some will tell a story, some will make me smile, some are just pretty.

Generally speaking, I am an observer. My favourite images are usually unscripted, but I’m not a pure photojournalist. I’m happy to straighten a tie or ask Cousin Jack to take off his sunglasses. I’m all about getting the best images possible.

What makes me, Me? I'm a country girl at heart and a fisherwoman by conversion. I spend every Sunday night in a freezing cold ice rink watching The Boy play hockey and can’t wait for the day I can call myself a Hockey Mum. I love living 100m from the ocean, but would happily spend months road-tripping the red centre. I live for travelling the world and experiencing all that’s on offer.

I love to share. My blog is as much about me and my life as it is about my clients. I believe it’s important for photographers to take photos for themselves; it keeps the passion for photography alive. As you browse around, you’ll see where I go on holiday, my adorable twin nephews will grow up before your eyes, and I often share bunches of flowers my boyfriend surprises me with. Those are the things that inspire me most.

My work has been featured on the endlessly inspiring Polka Dot Bride & Style Me Pretty. I'm also an Accredited Professional Member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography.

As a part of my recent weekend in Alice Springs, I offered Mini Sessions at Simpsons Gap a few minutes out of town.

Julia contacted me as soon as I posted the offer on Facebook wanting a few photos of her 17 month old little girl, Tara.

The thing I love about toddlers this age is they wear their hearts on their sleeve. If they feel it, they show it. The ups, the downs and everything in between.

Tara was all of that & I had a great time photographing her. From cuddles with mum, to squealing with excitement. Last weekend I headed to Alice Springs to spend a few wonderful days with my family, catch up with some friends as well as squeeze in a few sessions for some of my lovely clients.

The biggest drawcard however was to meet my beautiful brand new niece, Majella for the very first time!

Before I get into the photos of the little beauty, here’s a hilarious outtake from the session. After a few initial shots, I asked Shell to strip Majella naked (coz we all know there’s nothing cuter than a nakie baby) – while she was getting settled, Charlie & Digby both proceeded to strip themselves naked and pose on the cushion :)

I love it when photography takes me places. I love it when I get to catch up with people I haven’t seen in years.

This session combined both :)

The Boy & I recently headed up to Nelson Bay for the weekend for a little time away and so I could photograph these three adorable little munchkins.

You see, I have actually known their mother my entire life, growing up in the same little town out in the bush.
