About Me

Hi there! My name is Kellee and I just love taking photos. Some will tell a story, some will make me smile, some are just pretty.

Generally speaking, I am an observer. My favourite images are usually unscripted, but I’m not a pure photojournalist. I’m happy to straighten a tie or ask Cousin Jack to take off his sunglasses. I’m all about getting the best images possible.

What makes me, Me? I'm a country girl at heart and a fisherwoman by conversion. I spend every Sunday night in a freezing cold ice rink watching The Boy play hockey and can’t wait for the day I can call myself a Hockey Mum. I love living 100m from the ocean, but would happily spend months road-tripping the red centre. I live for travelling the world and experiencing all that’s on offer.

I love to share. My blog is as much about me and my life as it is about my clients. I believe it’s important for photographers to take photos for themselves; it keeps the passion for photography alive. As you browse around, you’ll see where I’ve been on holiday, my adorable twin nephews will grow up before your eyes, and you’ll see bunches of flowers my boyfriend surprised me with. Those are the things that inspire me most.

My work has been featured on the endlessly inspiring Polka Dot Bride & I'm an Emerging Member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography.

In the Alice

If you’ve been following the blog for a while, you might remember Sky & Mick from their engagement session back in January. What you might not realise is they actually live in Alice Springs with their completely adorable little foster kids Terrence & Nicole.

Pretty much as soon as Sky & Mick got their CD from their e-session, they said they wanted a family shoot with the kids in Alice whenever I was heading up to meet the twinnies.

I was soooo excited when Sky said she wanted to do the session at Simpson’s Gap. It is STUNNING!!! It’s only about 10km from town, and just completely sums up the beauty of the Alice to me :) Alice Springs Family Photographer: The Gallaghers
