Sky & Mick | The Wedding | The Rest

Here’s the final installment of Sky & Mick’s Wedding!

St MaryI was running very early in the morning on the way to photograph the girls getting ready, so I popped into the church for about 20 minutes to get some quiet shots that set the scene, and I was completely blown away when I walked inside!St Mary

Sky was so happy all day. I heard her say several times ‘I just want to be married’.St Mary

Sky’s Grandmother was so unbelievably proud to be walking her down the aisleSt Mary

I have shots of the actual kiss, but the smiles on their faces in this one says 10 times more to me :)St MarySt MarySt MarySt MaryCabarita Sydney Wedding Photographer: Bride & groom portraitCabarita Sydney Wedding Photographer: Bridal party portrait

The theme for the reception was ‘Orange’. I know you’re probably thinking that’s a colour not a theme…but there’s a story and I love it!

In the early days of their relationship, Sky & Mick watched a movie (the name of which escapes me) where the question was posed: why are the words I love you so special? What makes those words more significant than say ‘coffee’, and so for the rest of the movie, when either person said coffee it meant I love you. Sky & Mick took this on board and came up with Orange. So when you look around the room, and see orange letters on the cake, balloons and napkins, it all means I love you.Club Burwood Sydney Wedding Photographer: Wedding cake

I’ve said before how much I love a good speech reaction, and even that Best Man speeches are my favourite…but this takes it to a whole new level!Club Burwood Sydney Wedding Photographer: Best Man

Sky & Mick,  Orange :)

Gemma Carr - Beautiful behind the scene story. Looks like a fun day, really love the speeches shots.

Shell - WOW!!! These are awesome. How yummy does that cake look!! I love all of these photos – my favourites would have to be Sky in the car, the black and white of Sky and Mick where she is cuddling him from behind, and I agree with you, the just before/after kiss shot. Congratulations Sky and Mick!! I love the ‘orange’ story too!!

Sky & Mick | The Wedding | The Boys

It’s been a while between posts as I’ve recently moved house & only just got the internet back up and running.

Right now, we come back to Sky & Mick’s wedding from July!

As the boys were getting ready about an hour away from the Church, I didn’t get to spend time with them getting ready, but we still managed a few quick portraits outside the church before the ceremony got started.

How relaxed does Mick look!!

Kellee - Thanks Gemma, it was at Concord in Sydney’s inner west.

Gemma Carr - Love the last shot best. Where was this wedding?

Sky & Mick | The Wedding | The Girls

After seemingly never ending weeks of rain here in Sydney, I woke on the morning of Sky & Mick’s Wedding to a 100% blue sky, and while it didn’t last the whole day, we did manage to get away with no rain!

I started out with the girls getting ready at Sky’s grandmother’s house in Strathfield.

I loved the bouquets!!!

She seems to deep in thought, contemplating the day ahead, but not nervous as such.
