Travel Photography by Kellee Walsh from around the world

Adelaide

A few weeks ago the Kings & I headed to Adelaide for the weekend for an Ice Hockey tournament. When I wasn’t shooting games, I did a little wandering around town, and once all the hockey was wrapped up, we headed bush for lunch and to do a bit of exploring.

Here’s what I found…

Uluru – Kata Tjuta

A little look back to my time at Ayers rock in December :)

First thing Boxing day morning I flew up to Uluru (Ayers Rock) for 4 amazingly wonderful days. I was there of course to photograph Charntelle & Michael’s elopement but I stayed an extra couple of days just for me.

It was my third, and hopefully not last trip to the Rock, and it still took my breath away just the same as it did the first time 9 years ago.

It was like a 4 day photo safari. 2 sunrises, 2 sunsets, and a whole lot of walking in between.

Here’s a taste of what I saw, and I can only hope it encourages more people to visit this truly incredible place!

First off, Kata Tjuta (The Olgas)

There was so much more greenery this time, the desert was alive with trees, flowers, lizards and lots of bugs :)

Floriade

I spent a few days in Canberra last week, and it happened to coincide with Floriade, the annual tulip festival. So one afternoon, I spent an hour or two just wandering around the gardens.

Friday Flashback #10

Towards the end of my 3 month round the world adventure in 2007, I spent a week in India!

Here’s one from the Agra Fort. We were up before dawn to be first in line when it opened for the day. The way the morning sun streamed through all the little windows was amazing. The intricacies of the carvings are incredible.

Most of all, I love the mysteriousness the slight haze has on it all.
