Kami & Stephen | Wedding

Kami & Stephen’s wedding was a little extra special & I don’t mean to say that in a way that makes any other weddings sound less special…

A lot of photographers have a bit of a bucket list of things they want to shoot someday. Be it a country, specific venue or type of event. Big or small. Easily attainable or totally far fetched.

For me, one such list item, was to shoot a wedding at St Marys Cathedral.

Obviously being a wedding photographer in Sydney, it was really only a matter of time…and coincidently I’ll be shooting there again this weekend. Still, Kami & Stephen’s was the first & it gave me a buzz.

The day started off at the Shangri La hotel in the Rocks, with gorgeous views over the city & harbour while getting ready.

Kami looked radiant and was just bursting with excitement moments before the ceremony.

I’ve been inside a lot of churches and cathedrals all over the world in my travels, and this is right up there with the best of them!

Being an American girl and an Irish boy, living in Australia somewhat temporarily, they wanted their wedding photos to include the big landmarks.

The reception was held at Bel Mondo in The Rocks. I have to give a shout out to the incredible staff there. The food is just wonderful and the service incredible!!

I love when the cake cutting doesn’t go quite to plan, when Stephen went to feed Kami a piece, a big chunk broke off and went straight down her dress. I love his reaction :)

Amazing work…the church shots are classic yet modern at the same time, if that makes sense.
