Often, when I receive new enquiries and meet with new couples, I’m asked many of the same questions. So here are the answers to the most frequently asked questions.
While I generally work alone, there are a few circumstances where I recommend the inclusion of a second photographer.
If you’re having a church ceremony and there are no aisles on the outside of the pews – it can be difficult to photograph both faces of the couple without being a distraction to the ceremony. Having a second photographer allows us to capture everything with minimal movement.
If you’re planning on having in excess of 150 guests I also recommend a second photographer.
Absolutely!!! I actively support marriage equality and can’t wait to share in your celebration.
I like to email 2 or 3 low resolution, web-ready images within the first few days to give you a taste of what’s to come and settle the curiosity of wondering how they turned out. I’ll then begin the process of selecting the very best images of the day for editing.
After you’ve returned from your honeymoon, I’ll publish a blog post using 50-100 of my favourite photos to tell the story of the day.
All up it takes 4-6 weeks to have all your images ready for viewing, and I’ll upload these to an online gallery which you can access with your unique password.
You can share the online gallery details with all your friends and family. It’s a convenient way for them to not only view the photos but also order any prints and canvases they may wish to have.
You will receive between 40 and 60 images from your engagement session, and 400-600 images from your wedding. All images are fully edited to the same degree as those you see on my website.
For most people, their wedding is the first time they have professional photos taken, and chances are there are some nerves that go along with that. Having an engagement session, allows you to get used to my style of shooting, and enables me to get a real sense of how you interact as a couple. We get to know one another better, and you get a set of gorgeous photos of you as a couple! Win-win. Check out more about my engagement sessions here.
I use 2 Canon 5D Mark iii bodies throughout the day and keep a Canon 5D Mark ii in my bag for backup. I use all Canon L-series professional lenses.
Absolutely! I would love to meet with you and have a chat about your plans. We talk through what’s most important to you, I’ll walk you through the entire process, and you can browse my sample albums.
If it’s convenient, we can meet in my home office in Wyee on the Central Coast, or perhaps a cafe at a halfway point. I’m regularly in Sydney too, so we can organise a time when I may be closer. If you aren’t in Sydney or on the Central Coast, we can set up a Skype consultation or even just a chat over the phone.
A $1000 retainer and completed agreement will secure your wedding date. Dates are first-come, first served. Final payment is due 30 days before the wedding.
