Sky & Mick | Wedding

After seemingly never ending weeks of rain here in Sydney, I woke on the morning of Sky & Mick’s Wedding to a 100% blue sky, and while it didn’t last the whole day, we did manage to get away with no rain!

I started out with the girls getting ready at Sky’s grandmother’s house in Strathfield.

I loved the bouquets!!!

There’s something about the look on Sky’s face here that just makes me smile. She seems so deep in thought, contemplating the day ahead, but not nervous as such.

As the boys were getting ready about an hour away from the Church, I didn’t get to spend time with them getting ready, but we still managed a few quick portraits outside the church before the ceremony got started.

How relaxed does Mick look!!

I have shots of the actual kiss, but the smiles on their faces in this one says 10 times more to me :)

The theme for the reception was ‘Orange’. I know you’re probably thinking that’s a colour not a theme…but there’s a story and I love it!

In the early days of their relationship, Sky & Mick watched a movie (the name of which escapes me) where the question was posed: why are the words I love you so special? What makes those words more significant than say ‘coffee’, and so for the rest of the movie, when either person said coffee it meant I love you. Sky & Mick took this on board and came up with Orange. So when you look around the room, and see orange letters on the cake, balloons and napkins, it all means I love you.

You know it’s a great wedding when the dance floor is packed like this THE WHOLE TIME! Young and old these guys were grooving!

WOW!!! These are awesome. How yummy does that cake look!! I love all of these photos – my favourite would have to be the black and white of Sky and Mick where she is cuddling him from behind, and I agree with you, the just before/after kiss shot. Congratulations Sky and Mick!! I love the ‘orange’ story too!!
