Bianca & Brett | Wedding

Bianca & Brett were married at Silvermere Guesthouse in the Blue Mountains near Wentworth Falls. It was such a lovely intimate day with plenty of laughter and a dash of craziness thrown in for good measure.

With the threat of rain looming, the ceremony was moved indoors & you would have never known it was meant to be any other way. Fortunately, it only rained for a minute or two, and the clouds soon cleared away for a spectacular afternoon.

Nothing quite pulls on the heart strings quite like a teary groom as his bride walks down the aisle.

Lawn games are such a fantastic way to keep everyone occupied between the ceremony and reception. Nothing quite like seeing people get ultra competitive while dressed to the nines. A few more drinks can even lead to the invention of the Bocce/Jenga hybrid BOJENGA!

While the games continued, I snuck Bianca & Brett away for a stroll around the property and to the nearby lake.

We then headed back to Silvermere for some afternoon drinks and lawn games outside.

Danielle & Shane | Wedding

Danielle & Shane were married last September in the backyard of Danielle’s family home in Sackville at the foot of the Blue Mountains. It was such a perfect day, so relaxed and full of fun and a few unexpected surprises.

Every little detail throughout the day was handmade perfection.

I love this shot to Shane steadying himself before the ceremony, and the contrast to the look on his face as he sees his bride for the first time.

After the ceremony we headed across the road to a neighbour’s property for a few portraits by the lake.

I’ve come across lawn games at quite a few weddings over the years, but this was the first time I’ve witnessed a gumboot throwing contest.

Shortly before Christmas I spent the afternoon with this gorgeous little family in Kurrajong at the foot of the Blue Mountains

Georgia sure is one fiery little 2 year old. When I sat down with Jo and Phil at the start of session discussing the kind of shots they wanted, Jo said she wanted me to capture Georgia just being two. The ups, the downs and all the craziness in between.

She’s one very determined little girl with a big personality. I was only ever going to get the shots she wanted me to get, but was the whole point. When she spent 10 minutes mowing the pavers, she was in her element! I had a line from Forrest Gump in my head the whole time – wherever she was going, she was runnin’!

I love the calm in this next one…
