I spent a few days in Canberra last week, and it happened to coincide with Floriade, the annual tulip festival. So one afternoon, I spent an hour or two just wandering around the gardens.

Who knew Canberra could be so much fun :)
I’ve always been pretty confident about the way I do things, but there was that little voice inside my head asking what I could do better. Enter Christine! I’ve been following her blog for a long time & greatly admire her work, so when she started offering mentor sessions, I emailed her pretty much straight away! We spent the next few weeks emailing back & forth & by the time we actually met, it was like I’d known her for years. Everything just clicked! (Anyone who regularly uses words like huzzah is alright in my book!)
So on the June long weekend I travelled down to Canberra for my day with Christine. Oh my goodness it was so much fun!! What did we get up to you ask? Well, talked and talked about EVERYTHING photography & running a business, then in the afternoon we met a gorgeous little family for a fun shoot in the lovely winter sun :)
Meet Melanie, one simply stunning little girl! I loved her outfit :)
Xavier had him some attitude :) Those pouty lips were just so adorable.
Leo was such a boy – he kept falling over in the reeds just so he could roll around a bit :) Gosh he made me laugh!
Christine, thank you again. You are seriously one of the nicest, genuine & most giving people I’ve ever met! Can’t wait to see you again :)
