Back in October, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Jade & Matt’s gorgeous wedding at Circa 1876 up in the Hunter Valley.
We started out the day with the girls getting ready in the Lavender Cottage at Thistle Hill near Pokolbin. I could honestly have spent a day just photographing the property!
Hair & Makeup was by Bonita & Diane of Your Big Day & they did a stunning job getting the girls glammed up!
I asked Jade if her dad was likely to get emotional when he saw her, and she said it wasn’t likely, so I was pretty chuffed to capture this look :)
This is one seriously stunning bridal party!
The ceremony was held in the simple stunning gardens of Circa 1876.
I loved the way they looked at each other as Jade walked down the aisle, and the huge hug on arrival!
These two were so excited to be married :)
A short drive to a gorgeous field, the most perfect light I could ask for!
We then headed back to Circa 1876 for a few more portraits amongst the vines.
Circa 1876 is the ultimate venue for anyone wanting a rustic wedding!
I totally fell in love with this wall in the lounge, it made the perfect backdrop for the photobooth.
The night was capped of with some shenanigans on the dancefloor!
Congrats Jade & Matt! I hope you had the best day ever :)
Lastly, a huge shout out to my incredible second shooter Fe Lumsdaine for helping me out on the day!

2011 was a brilliant year. I loved every second of it. Looking back now, I’m realising just how far I traveled and how many incredible places I’ve been, both here in Australia and overseas. I’ve met some amazing people on the way and wouldn’t change a single thing.
Here’s my journey through 2011!
It started with a bang!
Followed by a few days in Fiji to celebrate my 29th birthday (stay tuned for a Fiji wedding in June 2012!!)
I helped Mish Koh with this gorgeous wedding in Centennial Park & The Rocks
4 weddings in March with Caspix all over the place: Sydney, Berry & the Southern Highlands
The Fisherman & I headed overseas again for 8 magical nights in Thailand – fishing, snorkeling, kayaking and a little lazing by the pool!
Sarah & Scott’s engagement amongst the lavender bushes at Lavender Bay
If you’ve followed this blog for a while, these little fellas need no introduction – I caught up with my sister & twin nephews a bunch of times, including their first ever trip to the beach.
Another wedding with Caspix in July, this time up in the Hunter Valley
Wedding season kicked off again in September with Jacqui & Stuart
Followed by a trip or two to Canberra, visiting Floriade for the first time.
Sarah & Scott’s wedding in October was a glorious day!
I met a bunch of bubs with big brown eyes
Another trip to Canberra to shoot this lovely wedding with Beata English.
Carly & Michael’s engagement session at Freshwater was simply perfect, and I can’t wait for their March 2012 wedding here on the Northern Beaches!
Finally, the year wrapped up with a Destination Elopement at Ayers Rock! I really hope it was the first of many.
As the sun sets for the last time in 2011, I sometimes can’t believe I get to be so lucky to do this for a living.
A special thank you to all my clients, you’ve made 2011 so much more than I’d hoped. Thanks also to my photographer friends for inviting me along on to share in your own journeys.
Cheers to a bigger and better 2012 :)
