Stephanie & Dean were married recently on what was an incredible day full of tradition!
I started out with Stephanie at her parents house, getting ready for the first part of the day. Her red lace dress was just divine.
This was my first chinese door games experience, and I can’t wait for the next one! For those who have never seen this before, the groom arrives at the brides house to collect her for the tea ceremony. First he must pass a series of tests to prove he’s worthy. These range from questions to determine how well he knows her, to humiliating him in front of everyone – in this case, wearing a bright red lingerie set (unfortunately the red stilettos were a little small).
After about 15 minutes of talking through the door and passing bribes underneath, he was finally allowed inside.
Finally, they left for the first tea ceremony at Dean’s family home.
Then back to Stephanie’s family home with a pig as a gift from Dean’s family.
After the second Tea Ceremony, Stephanie changed into a stunning white dress to wear for the remainder of the day.
The ceremony was held at the Deckhouse in Woolwich.
From the ceremony, we spent a little time wandering the pier and park nearby, before heading to the city for some more portraits.
The reception was held at The Eight restaurant in Chinatown.
Gangnam style!!
Another quick change back in to red for the last few formalities.
Stephanie & Dean, I hope you both had the most incredible day & are having a ball in Europe!
