Victoria & Liam | Wedding

What happens when an Australian girl marries an Irish boy? Two weddings of course!

Tory & Liam got married in December in Belfast and renewed their vows in Sydney less than 2 months later to celebrate with all the friends and family that were unable to make it to Ireland.

Since they were already married, we decided to do a first look, and get the majority of the portraits out of the way before the ceremony, which meant they could jump straight into drinks and canapés afterwards.

Liam’s two brothers surprised the couple by flying over from Ireland. When the first one arrived on their doorstep, Liam (still groggy from a night shift) slammed the door in his face.

The ceremony and reception were both held at La Capannina in Milson’s Point.

During the speeches it was mentioned that the party in Ireland was quite legendary & that the Aussie’s had a lot to live up to. They certainly brought their A game!

We had a photobooth set up off to the side of the dancefloor, which is always lots of fun.

Congratulations once again to Tory & Liam. Your Aussie wedding was incredible & such a joy to be a part of!

2013 | The Year That Was…

2013…wow! What an amazing year!!!!

It started with my own wedding in Fiji, most definitely the best day of my life. But 2013 was much more than that. Lots of traveling across the country, across the pacific & all over Sydney.

This post is a glimpse into the places I’ve been and the people I’ve met along the way…in no particular order :)

And finally, one of the first shots of 2014 over Pittwater.

Caterina & Ade | Wedding

Caterina & Ade’s last month was held on a glorious Sydney morning and it was an absolute pleasure to photograph. You might remember them from their engagement session a few weeks prior.

Love this dress!!

The flowers were by Courtney Grace and were absolutely stunning.

The ceremony was held at the chapel at Santa Sabina College in Strathfield.

Flowergirls don’t always love their job :)

So much joy!

After the ceremony, we headed to Balmoral for the lunchtime reception, but before heading in, we spent a few minutes on the pier.

These two make one gorgeous couple!

The reception was held at the Public Dining Room on the Esplanade at Balmoral.

Homemade Fig Jam and potted succulents made up the favours. I love little details outside the box.

At the end of the reception, a water taxi arrived to take them to their hotel in the city. The sun was just beginning to set and the light looked incredible. Caterina & Ade asked me if I wanted to join them for the ride and take a few more portraits and I jumped at the chance. The results were amazing!
