Cherie & Robert | Wedding

Here are a few images from Cherie & Robert’s gorgeous Sydney Wedding I recently photographed with Caspix.

We started out with Cherie & the girls in Five Dock as they were finishing up with the hair & make up. I loved her hair piece!

There was quite a crowd waiting to catch a glimpse before she hopped into the limo

The ceremony was held at the Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in Hunters Hill. I love how happy she looks as she arrived.

Renee & Danny | Wedding

A few weeks ago, I assisted photographing the Sydney wedding of Renee & Danny with my gorgeous and talented friend Mish Koh.

While Mish spent the morning with the girls, I headed over to Danny’s place to capture the boys getting ready…and finish writing their speeches :)

Danny started out pretty chilled, and then seemed to get a little nervous as the time drew nearer

The nerves disappeared completely however once he actually laid eyes on his beautiful bride.

After the ceremony, we headed to Centennial Park for some portraits.

Renee & Danny look so completely relaxed in each other’s arms, it was just beautiful.

Just as we were packing up to head into the rocks, Danny & his older brother Chris had this quiet moment between themselves, I didn’t hear what was said, but the hand on the shoulder says more than a million words could.

The reception was held at the stunning Curzon Hall in Marsfield.

An Aunt made their cake, and during his speech, Danny explained the significance of the design.

It begins with 2 seeds at the bottom, each representing Danny & Renee; they grow separately through their childhood years, until they eventually meet. As time goes by, they get closer and closer, culminating with their wedding, as the blossoming flowers on top.

Renee’s father’s speech was perhaps the funniest speech I’ve ever heard at a wedding. He captivated the entire room.

Never before have I seen a dance floor pumping quite like this at a wedding. Once it opened up, it was jam packed the whole time. Everyone had a blast.

Congratulations Danny & Renee, it was an absolute pleasure meeting you and being a part of your incredible day.

Thanks again to Mish for inviting me to shoot with you. The first of many I’m sure!

Trent & Candy | Wedding

Trent & Candy have been together almost 4 years, just a few weeks longer than The Fisherman & I. It’s been great fun getting to know them both individually and as a couple over that time. You see, Trent & The Fisherman were apprentices together about a dozen years ago & still catch up regularly to go fishing (Trent seems to be a bit of a lucky charm, as they always seem to come back with tonnes more fish than when I go…but that’s another story!).

Whenever I tell the story of how Trent proposed to Candy, about 1/2 the people laugh and say its fantastic, the other half gasp and ask what he was thinking…

It goes a little something like this. Trent & Candy regularly go for walks down to the water at Gladesville & sit perched on a particular rock to watch the sunset. This particular day, seemed no stranger than any other. They’re both sitting on the rock when Trent spies a plastic bag on the ground. He starts ranting about how careless people are with the environment and all that, when he reaches into the bag and pulls out the ring he’d stashed earlier.

I always think the best proposal stories are the ones where it’s completely unexpected in the moment, not one of the ones that the girl is crying for 5 minutes before he can get the words out. I’m pretty sure, in amongst the plastic bag tirade, there was no way on earth Candy would have anticipated what came next.

The wedding day itself was spectacular, gorgeous skies and hot! Both the ceremony and reception were held at Banjo Paterson Cottage Restaurant, Gladesville. It’s such a stunning old venue, not to mention the view!

Trent was so cool and calm before the Ceremony, mingling with everyone as they arrived.

Candy got all teary as she got out of the car and spent a few minutes inside to get it together before things started.

She walked alone down the aisle towards Trent, and I love the photo of her father looking on.

During the ‘honour & obey’ part of the ceremony, Trent pulled a face & Candy lost it…for a good few minutes. It was hilarious.

Candy’s friend Rach from Sapphire Designs did an amazing job on the bouquet. So unique!

I think this next one would have to be my favourite of the day.

The cupcakes were so yummy!

No more than 5 minutes after the cake was setup outside, it started to sprinkle & we hurriedly moved inside for few short speeches & oh so yummy cupcakes (that’s right, so yummy I had to say so twice!)

Trent & Candy, thank you so much for an awesome day!
