Caterina & Ade | Wedding

Caterina & Ade’s last month was held on a glorious Sydney morning and it was an absolute pleasure to photograph. You might remember them from their engagement session a few weeks prior.

After the ceremony, we headed to Balmoral for the lunchtime reception, but before heading in, we spent a few minutes on the pier.

At the end of the reception, a water taxi arrived to take them to their hotel in the city. The sun was just beginning to set and the light looked incredible. Caterina & Ade asked me if I wanted to join them for the ride and take a few more portraits and I jumped at the chance. The results were amazing!

Julie & John | Wedding

Julie & John were married back in December at Quay Restaurant on the first day of Summer!

Everyone got ready together at the Holiday Inn at The Rocks, and we spent the first hour or so wandering the harbour foreshore and some of the laneways around The Rocks.

Julie wore a stunning Lisa Ho dress and to die for glittery Jimmy Choo shoes.

Her bouquet was simply divine.

The ceremony & reception were held at Quay Restaurant and styled by the lovely ladies at Girl Friday Weddings!

The timing of the ceremony was perfectly coordinated with the departure of a cruise ship in dock at the Overseas Passenger Terminal.

As the ship departed, it seemed like all 3000 passengers cheered, waves and wished the couple well!

Patty & John | Wedding

Patty & John’s wedding was quite different for me. The entire ceremony and much of the reception were spoken in Korean and it completely changed the way I saw things for the day. I couldn’t rely on hearing beautiful words and anticipating a reaction, everything was visual, and it was incredible. One thing I know for certain is that love and laughter translate in every language!

Everyone got ready at the Shangrila Hotel in The Rocks. While I’ve done a few first looks in the past, it was the first time I’ve had a bride and groom actually get ready together. Admittedly, John left before Patty got into her dress, but it was very sweet to watch her putting on his bow tie :)

The ceremony was held at St Mary’s Cathedral. Only a few weeks after Kami & Stephen’s wedding there!

We then headed down to Mrs Macquaries Chair for a few more with the big landmarks.

The reception was in the Grand Ballroom at the Shangrila Hotel.

John had to carry Patty around the room as a symbol that he would always take care of her.
