Back in April, I headed down to Canberra to photograph Alysha & Dean’s wedding at Tuggeranong Homestead. I’ve known Alysha for years. It’s always interesting photographing a wedding for people you know. Long before Alysha & Dean got engaged, she would tell me I’d be the one photographing her wedding. Sure enough, when the time came, she checked in with me several times before locking in the date with the venue.
I started out the day at Alysha’s mother’s house for the girls getting ready.
The ceremony & reception were both held at the Old Tuggeranong Homestead in Richardson.
The light in Canberra is always magical! Seriously, I envy the photographers who live there.
Dean’s only request was that he could go four wheel driving in his suit. We headed into Kowen Pine Forest for some portraits and climbed up a mountain that felt like an 80 degree incline, but the view from the top at dusk was totally worth it!
We headed back to the homestead for the reception, which was incredibly fun. There was even a bonfire outside to take the chill out of the Autumn evening air!
Let’s just say the dancefloor rocked pretty hard!
Alysha & Dean, it was an absolute pleasure getting to capture your day for you both!
Always solid, always consistent, always beautiful. I can see why she wanted you from the moment she found you.
