Sara & Sam | Wedding

Sara & Sam were married at the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa on Denarau Island. A simple wedding with a black and white theme made sure the colours of Fiji shone through. While the ceremony itself was at the resort, Sara & Sam decided to do things a little different for the reception, choosing to party in style on the superyacht Bel’Mare by Adrenalin Fiji.

If you know me, you’ll know this, I am completely head over heels in love with Fiji. I have visited 7 times in 5 years so far (check out some past visits)!

Could she possibly look any more gorgeous?

It was overcast all morning and there was plenty of discussion about whether or not to move the ceremony undercover. In the end, the staff made the call and there were just enough drops of rain through the ceremony to make it feel like the right move. Fortunately, just as it finished, the rain went away and we were able to take all our portraits around the perfectly manicured gardens of the Hilton Fiji.

Probably one of my favourite little things to keep an eye on during the ceremony is when they’re holding hands. Above all, it takes away the chaos of the day and brings it back to a simple moment between two people in love.

We then made our way to board the Bel’Mare at Port Denarau & cruise the night away around Nadi Bay.

Sam surprised Sara with a sky lantern release. However, the wind was too harsh to really get them going, and only one managed to float away.

Sara & Sam, thank you again for choosing to have me capture your incredible day.

Bec & Matt | Wedding

Bec & Matt were married a few weeks ago in at the Outrigger on the Lagoon in Fiji. If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you’ll know just how much I love Fiji, and that I’ll jump at every single chance I can to get there as often as possible.

The Outrigger is just a 20 minute drive from where I got married in January, so we kind of had a second honeymoon at Maui Palms :)

The wedding day was overcast, and while it did rain a for a few minutes here and there, it didn’t put a dampener on the day at all.

Bec looked absolutely gorgeous in her dress.

To welcome their friends and family to Fiji, Bec & Matt put together these Bula Welcome Bags from A Peachy Shop, the creator of Bula Bride!

Once they were ready, Bec & Matt opted for a First Look. I seriously can’t advocate these enough for destination weddings (or any wedding really!). It means your guests can keep lounging by the pool as long as possible before getting ready, plus you get to jump straight into cocktail hour with everyone after the ceremony!

The ceremony was short and sweet, and reminded me so much of my own. Listening to the beautiful Fijian accent recite the same words made my eyes well up just a little :)
